Biking and Seafood Dinner in Cheung Chau

Activity Details:

We will meet at the Central Pier #5 to Cheung Chau at 1.45pm, then catch the 2.00pm ferry to Cheung Chau, so please be punctual as we will not wait for latecomers.

There's a lovely (relatively short) seaside path in Cheung Chau, so we will rent bikes from the stalls at the pier. After a leisurely ride, we will return to the main area and have a little explore of the village by foot, then end with a seafood dinner.

Activity Cost:

Bike rental is under $100.

The seafood is really good value and there's plenty of places to choose from. I remember last time I was there, we ended up paying something like $200 HKD per person including tonnes of seafood and beer, and we were stuffed full.

What to Bring:

It's not required to wear a helmet when cycling, but if you would like to wear one, then please bring yourself as there are none for rent. Other than that, just make sure you have enough cash to pay for bike rental and dinner.

Hi Mike, thanks for joining us. There's no steps, it's ok to bring your own bike, but you'll need to take the bike onto the ferry, I haven't done it before.

I have seen others do it. Easier then taking bike to MTR or ON BUS. No need to take off front wheel or fold it. For ferries loading on the side - Just sit near entrance & hold on to it. Some ferries (MuiWo to DB) take passengers from the front, leave the bike in front & go find your seat.

Hi! Sounds like fun!...but I'm not very good at cycling up hill :( is the cycle route you're planning quite hilly?

And it's relatively short, probably 15-20 minutes each way, from memory

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
