This cycle ride is a fantastic challenge for begginners and commuters. We will cycle for a Breakthrough Charity.
Starting from Pickett’s Lock in North London, we will cycle 60 miles along quiet countrylanes, past rolling green fields and idyllic small towns as we pedal to the finish at Midsummer Common in the heart of Cambridge, where we’ll be met with music, refreshments and massage. And of course we will receive our medals!

Distance: 100km/ 60miles.

Speed: We’ll take it easy and stop for a chat over a coffee or tea.

Meeting at: Lee Valley Leisure Centre, Pickett’s Lock, off Meridian Way, London, N9 0AS (by the tree next to the 20miles per hour limit sign).

Price: £20 (

Food: We’ll stop for refresments and go for a pub lunch afterwards.

Sen and Anni, are you still planning to do this ride? I'm planning to buy tickets next week. Do you want me to get the tickets for you? Because it is only 4 of us I won't be booking the coach back. I'll get lift from my friend to Stevenage and it should be possible for you to get a train back to London too.

True, I'd be up for this, but getting to Enfield is always a chore unless one lives in E.Central/East London and can get the train (and if one lives there, then it isn't that far to cycle anyway!) I *LOVE* our 'integrated' transport system (note tonnes of sarcasm). Oh well, at least East Anglia (Cambridgeshire etc) is the closest England gets to Holland, so we can dream... ;-)

It's hard with public transport.I find with most of such rides quite difficult to get to Tue start. Having a car is a huge advantage.
Sen let me know latest Saturday evening if you are coming.

There's another ride to Cambridge on this day, but if I can't make that one I might make this one. However, I can't even make a firm decision, as even if it's for charity, the cost figures are not AT ALL clear - and need to be. What am I paying £20 for? I'm on a tight budget and one thing that cycling helps with is the feeling of freedom - financial included (petrol is more expensive than food as fuel!) and I certainly am not paying £20 per person just for someone to navigate when they should be doing it for everyone's equal, mutual, friendship.

Right, that's my 'politics' stated, please let me know without prejudice what the deal is. There's less than 7 days to go. Thanks!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
