Members of the National Park Service will teach us about crabbing and then we will have plenty of time to try it ourselves.
These free crabbing events generally fill up the day they become available, but I was fortunate enough not only to get past the seemingly endless busy signals, but also to secure six spots for our group!
9:45am: Meet at the Warming Hut Cafe
10am: Crabbing class begins
12pm: Crabbing class ends
12:30pm: Picnic potluck
Because this is a small and special event, I removed the +1 RSVP option and am charging $10/person to discourage no shows -- I will use the payments to provide tableware and drinks for the picnic. This is a fairly rare opportunity so, if you can't make it, please change your RSVP to "No" at least 72 hours prior so someone else can take your place.
Items to bring: layered clothing, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, small bucket, picnic blanket, picnic lunch items for yourself + one to share (large enough for 6 people), serving utensils (if needed)
** Please post what potluck item you are bringing in the comments **

Please be considerate of your fellow members and the host managing the event and/or reservation: If you RSVP "Yes" but are unable to attend, change your RSVP to "No" before the stated RSVP closing date. If you don't, you will be marked as a no show. Members are allowed two no shows: after that, you will be wait listed for future events or dropped from the group.
