Weekend Escapes and Exploring the Northwest

This group is about weekend getaways and escapes to places away from the Seattle Metropolitan area. Exploring rural, mountain, seaside, historic towns, ghost towns, mining towns, hick towns, lost towns, and country sides. They might involve tent camping, trailer camping, car camping, motorcycle camping, or stays at B&Bs, hotels, Inns, motels, and cabins as long as they are nowhere out there to get lost at with other explorers and road trip enthusiasts. It's time to get to know more of Washington and it's neighbors, and taste coffee brew outside of Seattle metro :) If you have any interest in any place, let the group organizer(s) know so we can set up a trip. Oh and we'll do some local coffee/brunch/dinners/happy hours social meetups to get to know each other and talk about your places of interest and brainstorm in the process. These social gatherings are intended to get to know people so you'll feel more comfortable about going on overnight stays away from home with these fine group of fearless explorers. During the Summer months, expect to see more of a tent camping type of outings because we are in the NW and only have 4 weeks of summer and 10 months of wintry weather here, brrrrr. Although I try to find places where there will be campsites that also have cottages or 4 walls and a roof, or campsites nearby towns that have hotels/B&Bs etc, those are difficult to find so if you are a roomer, please be patient during the summer months, err weeks. You'll get lots of comfort and joy in your 5 star accommodations the rest of the year. As we see cooler weather, then we'll check out other places with modern conveniences.

This is an inclusive group. There will not be any events for men only, women only, singles only, couples only, young only, old only, rich only, X religion only, X sexual orientation only, X political group only, etc. only. You get the point...everyone is welcome! Except stalkers, creeps, and jerks - you stay the hell away. Comprende?
