This workshop is for anyone who is already familiar with meditation (does not need instruction) and wants to spend a bit more continuous time on their meditation practice.
The 1st hour will be dedicated to yoga. Asanas specifically to make the sitting posture more comfortable. For the next 3 hours we will alternate sitting (45 minutes) and walking meditation (15 minutes - a brief instruction on walking meditation will be provided). You can practice any type of meditation as long as you are sitting, lying or standing still for the 45 minutes (no asanas or chanting, etc.) Our time will be spent in silence and at the end at noon you can chat a bit about your practice if you are so inclined.

Registration: There is a $10 registration fee which will be collected at the door and given to the yoga teacher and the studio. Please sign up on this site so we know how many people to expect. Please do not sign up and then not come.
What to Wear: Non-restrictive clothing which would be comfortable for both yoga and sitting and walking meditation. Weather permitting you can walk outside so dress appropriately.
What to Bring: Meditation cushions (chairs will be available) and something to drink if you need it. Please no food in the studio. If you need food for some reason, please keep it in your car.
Where to Park: There is parking on the street and in the lot in back of the building..
Please do not wear any perfumes or other heavily scented products.
Location and Directions:
The studio is located at the corner of Brewster Avenue and LaGrange Road. Suite #17 is in the back of the building, second floor. Please enter from the staircase in the back of the building by the parking lot.
