I'm so sorry I won't be there! I am stuck at work tonight. I have asked Jennifer to bring the regular questions that I would have with me though.

    Have a good night!

Unfortunately, work has me too busy to make it tonight. Wasn't a big fan of the book though. Funny, 'cause I'm the one who recommended it. Have fun!

I am awfully sorry but a sort of family emergency has arisen that requires my attention on Tuesday – – I'm still committed to the book club and would participate in the upcoming sessions (although I did not enjoy the 100-year-old man... to a great degree – – it seemed kind of silly and nonsensical). Once again my apologies – – hope to meet you all next month.

Carol, did you find Finale's? It's over Norwood Bridge from dwnt. Corner of St.Mary's/Marion.. Along #19 transit route. Popular coffee/shop.. You will like it, good clientele. Across from Sals, now a Tim's Horton's

This will be my first meeting and I'm confused about the location. The description lists Finales coffeehouse, but Lea's comment says that we're sitting outside.

May 6 plan on going, and we'll be sitting outside, bring a jacket or blanket. Looking forward to it.. I must say for someone whose reading ability is very slow, as result of Jill and Jennifer's enthusiasm, I am reading out loud to my cat, who sleeps while I read. But I am determined to get involved more in reading, and hope to finish early enough or part of book, to pass on to another who reads better. I picked from Express shelves dwnt library.. Maybe, we could have meet every 2 weeks, and 2 different books, those who dwell in book A 1st week, book B 3rd week. Still 1 mth, but excellent readers might handle two books. Just an idea, this way no need to purchase all time. Sandi, also I noted Amazon, has this 100yr old on their editions page. At discounted rate.. Why so many are out. I can let you know when I finish with mine. Perhaps can help out this way..

Thanks, Lea. I am a voracious reader, but cannot afford to buy books all the time, even at a discount. That is why I love the library. I think I am going to drop out of this club and just read on my own. :)

I wish you wouldn't stop, this shouldn't deter you from coming out I'll bring books with me next time, take them if you want.. I understand the lack of funding. Come least for the coffee/company. I won't be able to read all of them, if library doesn't carry them. Some ladies only read part of book, because of their busy schedule. It be a shame, you not come because of money. I read what Liane said.. Maybe we can met & share the same book together. One of us surely can get our hands on a book.. If not we'll listen one mtg out.. I still like to meet you. I am trying to become better at reading, for that reason alone money.. You'll understand when we met...

I am so frustrated ... there are 40 requests for this book (from the library) but only 6 people are signed up for this book club.

Sandi there are many many book clubs in the city. I'm sorry you are having continuous problems acquiring the books but perhaps it is time to get more creative than just the library. Used bookstores, ebooks, audio books are all frugal options. Asking your family and friends if they have a copy might work as well. Sufficient notice of which books are coming has been given so I'm not sure how else to help you.
