Well Read

Our friend Jack has offered us his salon as a meeting place for February. We can bring our own drinks and food. The salon will be closed.

This will be a fun, special and quiet way to have this month's discussion. How fun!

See you at 5.

Email me if you have any questions.

Our chosen book to read for February is

Heft by Liz Moore

Thank you, Elisha! You're a great facilitator and I really enjoyed the discussion. Nice group of people too.

Very good! Having participated in other (less focused) book clubs, I appreciate the fact that the vast majority of the meeting was devoted to book discussion. Elisha did a nice job of facilitating. And as a new attendee, I appreciate the welcoming attitude of existing members.

If you do not want to to read depressing books I would not recommend The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. John Green wrote a book with David Levithan (Every Day) Will Grayson, Will Grayson which sparked my interest to read it. I liked it and in my opinion it is worth reading. A heartfelt story.

Jalen, the Meeting Street student representative for the Meeting Street Telethon is currently reading Every Day. Interesting hearing his take on the book, impressive.
