Sql Server Data Tools with Hannah Gray

Following on from Peter's recent talk on his Christmas project, Hannah's going to tell us more about Sql Server Data Tools (SSDT).

This will introduce the SSDT project type in Visual Studio, look at whats new compared to the old Database Projects, some tips and tricks about converting from one to the other, and then explore the practical use of them in managing databases alongside your code, and deploying across multiple environments from development to production.

I really enjoyed this presentation. It was directly relevant to our work (we use database projects all the time). I also liked that it was told from a developer's point of view and related the database concepts to coding concepts. Well done Hannah!

This was great; I liked the way SSDT was contrasted with the old database projects, and that the core concepts were explained and related well to the demos. It was also great to have the insight to how this was used in the real world.
