Dumplings - A Lesson with Vicky Ha Queen of Dumplings

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last year we held four majorly successful lessons with Vicky Ha of Dumpling House (now House of Dumplings) at her kitchen in Chaffers Dock. Vicky has kindly agreed to give us another class with a bit of a twist....

We'll arrive at the dockside entrance to Chaffers Dock and have a bit of a meet and greet and chat with Vicky in the atrium while enjoying a glass on vino chosen by our Sommelier; Jules van Cruysen of MacVine. Then we'll head over to the kitchen of East Square restaurant to begin our lesson with with the Queen of Dumplings.

We'll be making eggplant and kumara dumplings with Wakame Dough (it's a seaweed thats very good for you). Vicky will teach us several different folds that will also come in handy when your making pasta at home. We'll steam our dumplings before sitting down for dinner, accompanied with Vicky's mothers amazing secret sauce and another glass of vino from Jules.

It's not over yet....next we'll make sweet frangipani dumplings in an amazingly soothing ginger and cardamon broth.

What will a fabulous event like this cost, I hear you say.... just $60pp. Price includes: class, dinner and two glasses of wine.

This is a hands-on lesson.

This event is suitable for Veggies and Vegans.
