I am a keen cook, and enjoy cooking, reading and talking about food and eating. I have a huge collection of cooking books - over 600 at last count, and also subscribe to Cuisine and Dish and use the internet extensively. I also have travelled fairly widely, with food and food markets begin some of the highlights of my trips. I currently have a vegetable garden, and when I retire, would like to grow most of my own food. I like to know the provenance of my food, know that it has been well grown, and that animals I am going to eat have have been well treated.
I'm probably more a generalist, but keen to share my knowledge and skills and learn from others.
Food and wine tastings/matching, dinners, food sourcing, growing food, food from different cultures.
Always keen to learn more about food & wine, cooking and most of all enjoy eating good food with others who have a similar passion.
