I was raised near the Napa Valley in CA, USA...where wine & healthy eating are a part of daily life. I have taken many cooking courses and more specifically attended Le Cordon Bleu in New York City as well as a two year course at the Culinary Institute of America, Napa campus. In addition I have been an amateur chef catering parties, etc. in CA., before I came to NZ and founded Feast & Vine. Feast & Vine designs many programs for off-shore visitors who wish to experience NZ wine & food...as well as for locals with our newly released Tour, Taste & Cook with restaurant critic David Burton at Moore Wilson's workshop room. I also work closely with many talented Wellington chefs to create exclusive and unusual wine/food match programs.
Yes, my company Feast & Vine where the art of matching wine with food is the core focus.
Anything and everything professionally conducted and interesting!
I'm Donna McCormack of Feast & Vine. My company designs events that promote the successful pairing of food and wine. I want to share what makes a successful wine & food match and why certain wines make better matches with certain foods than others.
I am new to the group and the Glengarry's event was my first. I am really looking forward to the Dish #41 dinner tomorrow night. I love the idea of a group of foodies coming up with creative and inventive ways to enjoy food/wine around town together and I am really impressed with the way in which the web site is handled, very professional and well thought out. I like the idea that there is follow up after an event as well...so I'm very excited to be a part of this group.
