for the majorly serious Foodies out there..... Southern Cross Truffles in Christchurch have just sent me an email asking if a group of us would like to get together and buy one of their Perigord black truffles that they harvested on Monday.
The the truffle in question is 276g and costs $3 +GST per gram. If enough of us are interested they will courier it up tomorrow morning.
What I propose we do is get a truffle syndicate together and split the cost. I have a very good truffle slicer and Elements have an amazing set of scales that measure to a fraction of a gram so we'll be able to divide it fairly between us.
If you're interested i'll need to know by 4pm today. Please drop me an email: [address removed]
