Jam Session at Toi Poneke Arts Center (Te Aro)

Do you like to jam on some good old standards or play/sing the latest chart toppers?
Do you have an original composition that you want to try out with other musicians, or practice for an open mic gig?
Are you keen on playing music with other people but don't know where to start?

Well then let's join at the Toi Poneke Art Center in the CBD for a relaxed, no-pressure jam! We are renting one of the music studio there for a 2-hour session. These studios are not equipped, so bring your instruments with you. Our sessions are mostly acoustic but bring a bit of amplification if your instrument needs it. A contribution of up to $5 will be asked to cover for the hire of the room.

We are not fussed about ability or genre, and singers are more than welcome. Once the session is over we may then head to a nearby bar to socialize a bit more and congratulate ourselves on our musical prowess!

Don't hesitate to suggest songs you'd like to play in the comments below, and if you can bring some sheet music or chords with you even better.
Looking forward to see you there

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
