Do you play a musical instrument, sing or write songs?

I play Classical/Spanish guitar and am a Classically trained violinist who is trying to learn more improvisational skill. I can pick things up quite quickly, depending on how fast/multi-noted they are, but I'm a *little* short on the original composition department... maybe this place is the help I need.

What type of music do you like?

Too much to cover in one sentence, so I'll summarise with Classical, Romantic, Spanish, Jazz and New Age. I'm very selective about the types of Rock/Pop I listen to, as I prefer music that is progressive and growing in its nature to music that is flatly hardcore with very little variation in its trend.

What would you like to gain from this group?

I expect..... to be able to meet fellow musicians for one, and to possibly collaborate with them for another... either as a fellow musician, or as a Circus performer complimenting their sound with my visuals.

We always need more places to meetup and jam. Do you have a place where we can meet?

Introduction

Hello, my name is K.B.G. Purple, (a preferred nom de plume made up of my initials and favourite colour my legal name is quite long), and I am a Circus Acrobat and Musician. Circus and Music are my life, complimented highly by all things purple.

What Kbg GoldenAcrobat P. is saying about this Meetup Group

It was excellent. I'm guessing there were more actual musicians than regular patrons last night, which is probably why everyone was so quiet and listened more... It was a very good way to end the year there :o) Good tidings and yuletide joy to all.
