Potential topic item: There are a few podcasts that check out the predictions of the psychics and rate their ability (at guessing what'll happen.) They also make some predictions themselves and check out how they did with the predictions they made last year.
I'm going to start the same sort of thing here. So bring along a couple of predictions to share. I'll make a note, store them away (possibly somewhere public) and we can check them out next year.
If anyone has the time, check out some local psychics and print out their predictions for 2012. We'll run our own scorecard.

Potential topic item: Formation of a podcast based around a debate model. There was a podcast I listened to (http://goo.gl/qWCDE
) that had an interesting take on the debate format. Basically the rounds were prerecorded so research time was available prior to responding. I'm wondering if this would work as a podcast/blog series with a live debate once things have been completed and distributed.I'm wondering if there's interest, what skills/resources are available, what topics people would like to see tackled, suggestions for debaters etc.
