Ukuleles For Peace: Christmas Dinner Uke-along Tuesday 17 Dec @ 7pm-9.00pm

Join us tonight @ 7.00pm for our Christmas Group Dinner Tuesday 17 December from 7pm - 9pm @ The Office Bar & Cafe, 124 Riddiford Street, Newtown, Wellington.

All past and present Ukulele Tuesday members are very welcome to attend! So if you've ever attended a Ukulele Tuesday night, please come along even if you haven't been for a while! It'll be great to see you all again.

Dinner Menu
We decided to go with the regular All Day menu, not the set Christmas dinner menu which needs to have 20+ people. This gives us more flexibility with whoever turns up on the night, more food choices and of course it's cheaper! Click this link to check it out The Office Bar & Cafe All Day Menu

Approx. number for dinner - but you can still turn up on the night:
Please RSVP on this Meetup or let me know via return email about your attendance. Thanks to our 15 lovely ukers confirmed for dinner. Email Sophia [masked]

What to bring
Be sure to bring a little $5 Xmas gift for our Secret Santa fun night! and your HAPPY UKULELE!

Let's Have FUN!
Dress up Christmassy and/or wear Santa hats, deer antlers, sparkly stuff. Bring a $5 "Secret Santa" present to put under the ukulele tree. You'll all pick a number from a hat to match the number of presents and you can uke & sing a short song verse on your uke to claim your Xmas present - optional only - hehehe! :)

We might even have time to play Steal the Gift You Love if everyone's up for it!

Open Mic at the Christmas Dinner
If you wanna uke & sing solo, duet, trio etc there's an 'open mic' space, and we'll also have group singing for Christmas Carols and sundry requests. There was a suggestion ukers bring a personal favourite song to share with everyone, but you'll need to run-off song sheets for everyone. We'll have all our song charts for group singing and however the night rolls out, we're sure to have some fun :) See You There!

What an excellent night of fun, laughter and plenty of uke & sing on our happy ukuleles! We had group singing and an open mic all night long and the group talent show cased was pretty phenomenal! We had yummy food and drink and made merry with warm heart-felt camaraderie. Then Santa Claus rode in with his Christmas Elfie and gave out all our Secret Santa presents, with lots of mutual hugs, and hilarious "sit-on-my-knee-c'mons" by the big guys on Santa's lap. We were reluctant to leave such a happy space as the hours ticked away. There's no Party quite like a Mighty Ukulele party where there's song, fun, laughter with the happiest little instrument in the world. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all our Ukulele Lovers out there. Thank you to all who came to the Party and making it such a memorable joyful night! Uke & Spread the Love :)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
