The Mighty Ukes - Ukulele Tuesdays: Weekly @ 7pm-8.30pm

~ Ukulele is the instrument of friendship, love and peace ~

Join us tonight @ 7.00pm, The Office Bar & Cafe, 124 Riddiford Street, Newtown, Wellington. Absolute Beginners & all levels welcome. BYO Ukulele & Koha. Spare ukes available.

Come out of the ukulele closet and join The Mighty Ukes of Wellington and the Ukulele Revolution. Relax and strum along with us for a fun ukulele jam session. All songs and chord charts provided - just bring you and uke.

We usually warm up with some 3 chord popular folk/culture songs to encourage our beginners to join in, then we step-up gear as the night ticks on.

We're also dusting off well-loved classic hits and bringing them to life with the Mighty Uke. Leonard Cohen classics like "Dance Me to the End of Love" Johnny Cash "Ring of Fire" Del Shannon "Runaway" Roy Orbison "Blue Bayou" and many more!

Another wonderful night of uking & singing our hearts out. The winter flu bug has kept a few ukers at home as they regain their voices over the weeks. However many more ukers are on their last hangover from the buggy flu and keen to return to the Mighty Ukes. We tried out some old classics last night including "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" complete with a Spanish verse! the old favourite "Pearly Shells" and a fun but sad song about star-crossed lovers "Running Bear" and his Little White Dove. We're making the most of using a laptop computer to project our songs onto a large wall screen. This enables us to make use of a wide variety of song choices - we have over 400 songs and adding more each week, as we continue to Uke & Spread the Love :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
