Anthropos Play Test II: The Play Testening

  • Jun 22, 2014 · 3:00 PM
  • Craig's Abode (just off Cuba St)

Enhancements and revisions from the previous play test have been incorporated and are ready for another go. In Anthropos you are striving to become the dominant culture during the transition from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic. You'll maneuver your tribes to expand your territory, grow your population and learn new technologies. Anthropos is for 3 - 4 players and takes about an hour to play.

I've built two copies of the game so I've got room for up to eight players.

I'm about 95% sure the game is at component lock, meaning there will be no more or less physical components needed to play the game.

Thank you everyone, for playing and bashing on the game. I've already sorted the answer to the starting situation and it was incredibly obvious once I'd thought it through. The answer isn't to ensure that everyone has a balanced "nesting" place to start, but that everyone starts in equally awful conditions.

Craig, Katicon was good - it was less people than they expected but that gave it a good focus.

Hi something has come up with my siblings so I may not be able to make it. I will know for sure when they get back to me with times.

Seeing it was shaping up to be a great game that will be sad.

I hope things work out so you can make it. In any case, I will be running more play tests.

Oh, Craig, why during Katicon! I would love to help playtest this again. Keep these meetups coming, and I'll make sure to come to one.

Kids, job, etc. Not much room for whim.

BTW: This isn't the same game as that cloud castle I brought to Wellycon. This is a very different beast.

Mate! I'm in the same boat as Alan for the same reason - full day X-Wing Tournament @ Cerberus. Next time?

This won't be the last test. If this session goes swimmingly then it'll be on to blind testing.
