Photoshop for Beginners

WORKSHOP NOW FULL>  PLEASE DO NOT RSVP. SEND A MESSAGE TO JOHN IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO ARRANGE ANOTHER DATE>
This is a workshop based course specifically aimed at beginners using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. It is NOT free but the cost is very modest for a professionally organised course. You should note that I have had two books published on Photoshop. The workshop will cover all the basic tools required to get your photos looking a little bit better, and help your understanding on how to "process" digital images. Includes Selections, Levels, Colour balance, file formats including RAW, spotting and retouching, dodging and burning, and an introduction to Layers. Being a workshop and not a lecture you should bring your own laptop - but if this is not possible a limited number of computers will be available on site. If you don't have the software yet download the trial versions from Adobe.com or they will be available on site before the workshop.

This course is aimed at the beginner. Other courses will be available for more advanced users and users of Lightroom etc. If the course is over-subscribed I will add another date. Note that you should NOT book this course unless you are sure you will attend as the course fee WILL NOT be refunded if you do NOT attend. The fee is $35 NZ. Ignore the bit about "Euro" as there is no option for NZ dollars in this box) Tea and coffee will be provided but you should bring along some goodies for the lunch break. I will have manual control of the list and anyone interested will be added to the wait list. Once you have paid I will add you to the main list. If you are interested and want to know more you can call me on[masked], email [masked] or skype thephotoworkshop

Hi all, does anyone have a spare seat on Sunday? I am in Newtown but can get myself into the city, and can also bring cash for petrol.
Alternatively I could drive my car and carpool with anyone else who is keen.
    Thanks!

Hi I still have two seats available in my car. If you can get to Upper Hutt I can give you folks a lift.

Hi Richard, thank you so much for kindly offering me a lift, I really do appreciate it. However I have now been offered a lift by Siobhan who lives close by, so I'll accept a lift with her instead. Looking forward to meeting you and the others at the workshop.

Richard, to book your wife in as well, you need to change your RSVP to be a +1 which books 2 spots for you. Just click on "Change RSVP" in the green box (top right of page).

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
