As suggested in the discussion forum: A picturesque cemetary and church. The drive up to the church is more or less directly opposite the Lighthouse Cinema at Pauatahanui (near that end of the Paekakariki Hill Road) - the old burial ground is on the side of the hill beside the drive. http://www.geolocation.ws/v/I/5397258267539636433-5397258763870797618/st-albans-church-rose-garden-cemetery/en http://www.pcc.govt.nz/About-Porirua/Porirua-s-heritage/Porirua-s-natural--cultural-and-historic-heritage/Porirua-s-cemeteries/Pauatahanui-Public-Burial-Ground

Enjoyed the visit and meeting you all again. Some interesting shots and once others upload their shots you learn what you missed out on or give you different ideas for the future. Thanks once again - look forward to the next one.
PS interesting to note that after uploading mine to my Flickr account there has been very little interest with viewing gravesite shots.

Great place for some photos, lovely old graves and roses too. Nice to meet some of the other photographers, and some I have met before. Look forward to next one !! Also might be a fun one to do a 'painting by light' night.
Very good spot to shoot and great group of people there!
Great stuff. Interesting site, lots of nice people, great iced chocolate across the road...

Definitely keen to go back when the roses are all in bloom, but seeing all the holly in fruit was still awesome. Thanks heaps to the priest for letting us into the church as well/
Hi Sean,That is fine. See you tomorrow

The current cemetery is up around the church - the old burial ground is through a gate off to the right as you go up the driveway toward the church. Probably best to meet in the burial ground, in case there's something on in the church, like a wedding.
If past meetups are any sort of indication, you won't have a problem. Just keep your camera where it can be seen, so you're not shot on sight. :-)

Hi all, looking forward to tomorrow; this is my first meetup so presume I will just look for a bunch of people with camera's? or is there a particular place to meet at......
Hi SeanYou are on my way. I can pick you up at 10h30, just let me know where.
A couple of stray non-printing characters seem to have attached themselves to that first URL - it should be:http://www.geolocation.ws/v/I/5397258267539636433-5397258763870797618/st-albans-church-rose-garden-cemetery/en
