Every runner needs a strong core. It makes us more stable, and reduces the risk of injury.
Planking is one good way of strengthening your core.
But it's terribly boring.
So we thought we'd make it more fun.
And a little bit challenging.
And a whole lot rewarding.
The Core Challenge runs 1-30 June.
The goal is to do a plank EACH DAY.
At your own time and in your chosen location.
We will start with 1 minute. But if this is not enough for you, feel free to bump it up :-) We will put up the time by 30 secs each week. So Week 1 is 1 min, Week 2 is 1min30secs and so on.
There are 4 Core Challenge events that start each Monday.
You can choose to be in the Challenge for 1,2,3 or 4 weeks.
You need to plank each day in order to complete the challenge.
And we want proof!
After each of your planks, post a comment, or a picture.
