Looking for something FUN for your child to do that allows them to interact with their peers in a community environment? Come and join us! Wellspring sponsors a playgroup in the San Fernando Valley for children with autism or other disabilities. This playgroup offers a safe place where kids can experience joy, laughter, fun, games and new friendships.
Activities are organized and led by Wellspring's behavior therapists. This combination of structured activity with free play facilitated by professional therapists nurtures an atmosphere of organized fun and encourages plenty of opportunities for social interaction and learning new skills. Since the event takes place at a universally accessible playground, kids of all abilities can participate!

Support and community are everything to parents who have a child with special needs. It can be such a relief to swap stories with other parents who understand your situation and not feel like you have to make excuses for your child's behavior. These kinds of events are such an excellent bonding opportunity for parents. Connections are made, phone numbers are exchanged and the theme of the day is definitely community support.

Parents must stay to supervise but Wellspring will provide fun, developmentally appropriate activities and a yummy snack.
