We'll meet at the end of St. Mary's Street, which is one end of the Northern Walkway trail, and follow the trail to the Wadestown end of the hill. Then we'll walk back along the ridgeline to the views at the top, and down through Northland/Kelburn back to Glenmore road.
This is a moderate (not easy) walk. There are some steep sections. The trail is mostly unpaved and may be muddy in places. The ridgeline is exposed, so bring an extra layer if the wind is up.
We should arrive just in time for the Sprig and Fern to open, which has a lovely back courtyard for relaxing and a selection of alcoholic and non (including coffees) beverages and tasty snacks. http://www.sprigandfern.co.nz/taverns/tinakori-road-wellington.aspx
