Waterside Walk Near Aldermaston

This 4 mile walk takes in countryside around Aldermaston plus the wharf, canal and the river and marina.  We did do some of this walk last year and it was beautiful so doing a repeat but with an addition to take in another swing bridge (photo opportunity) plus the marina and the weir which we missed last time.  Easy terrain.

My bad . . . I forgot to say a BIG thank you to Richard for giving me a lovely guide to British Butterflies. Of course on the one week I was carrying it we did not see many - other walks we have seen an abundance of butterflies dancing in the fields and hedgerows

Well . . so it was more of a 5 mile walk than a 4 mile but nevertheless was lovely and great company (as always) Thanks to Andy, Anne, Jane and Richard for coming out for the walk and enduring the short burst of rain.

If you are not lunching can you please not use the pub car park. There is parking along the road near the pub and across the roundabout on the road opposite the pub
