Carole Peck's Good News Cafe

Welcome to Carole Peck's Good News Cafe....

At the moment, only two of us have signed up.  It's not too late to join us.  Or, come by and suggest a better date!

We are still on.  I changed the time to 6:45 to better accommodate a 6:30 or a 7:00 dining time.

Chef Carole Peck and partner Bernard Jarrier have created a dining experience unique in its approach to food preparation and presentation. This experience occurs daily, and it's called the Good News Cafe. For a tantalizing glimpse into what is in store for you when you reserve a table, please review our current lunch, dinner and dessert menus on this website. In addition to our regular menus--which Carole changes periodically to provide you the best that each season offers--you can look forward to more interesting choices from our daily specials.... http://www.good-news-cafe.com/Menu/dinnermenu/ -- this is a sample menu.

Diann and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Good News Cafe. The food was beautifully prepared in an original way with fresh delicious ingredients. We agreed it would be great to return to this venue in every season and hope more members will be able to join us to enjoy the experience!

We may have been a small turn out, but we didn't run out of things in common to talk about, and the food at this (largely) locally sourced restaurant was superb. A warmed salad with asparagus, lightly adorned melted cheese, pickled onion, various greens. Soft shelled crabs with rhubarb, baby corn, more greens, and lovely flavors. A great restaurant and potentially a place to visit at least once during each of the four major seasons. Noise level a bit high, but hey, it's Saturday!

Okay, let's plan on going. I will make it 6:30? I don't like dining out too late because of my tendency to want a fourth meal somewhere earlier in the day... :)

Diann, I can still go but it would help me if we could make it a little later. If you'd rather re-schedule until more people can make it, that's fine with me too.

There are only two of us who have signed up for this dinner. Shelagh, confirm one way or the other if you intend to go anyway; if need be we can always reschedule. Anyone else who may be interested: it's not too late to sign up.
