Evan is a Kooikerhondje or Dutch Decoy Dog. They are rare in the United States. We compete in agility and are working towards becoming a certified therapy team. In March 2015, Camille, a Miniature American Shepherd joined Evan and I.

I was searching for a dog after my Golden Retriever died. I learned about the Kooikerhondje and thought it'd be a great fit but wasn't sure I'd be able to get one as they're rare and my work schedule isn't conducive to a puppy. I contacted several breeders asking if they had any adult dogs they'd like to move out of their breeding programs into a companion/agility home. Turns out a breeder in Wisconsin was looking for such a home. And, that's how Evan and I found each other. Camille and I found each other on Facebook. I knew I wanted to get a puppy in 2015 and was planning for later in the year, but she found me in February and now she's here.
Several times a week. Evan is a sprinter, Camille is a marathoner.
Forest Park because it's close to the house and the Boat House is dog friendly. Queeny Park because there are lots of trails.

This is a great group of people. Evan and I immediately felt welcome.
