Hike Deer Creek Canyon Park, Littleton, Sun. June 2 at 8 AM

On the way back from Roxborough State Park, I briefly stopped by Deer Creek Canyon Park in nearby Littleton. I'm organizing another hike there for Sun. June 2 at 8 AM. The hike will be a loop along the Meadowlark Trail to the Plymouth Creek Trail and back.  It's about 2.7 miles for the Meadowlark and Plymouth Creek loop, but there is 830' of elevation gain on just the Meadowlark Trail, so it should be a decent hike.

I hear this hike is rather scenic, as well as convenient to the SW suburbs of Denver.

Meet at the bulletin board at the main parking lot on Grizzly Dr., a short distance from the intersection with Deer Creek Canyon Rd.

I'll be holding the small Colorado flag as usual so I can be identified.

There are two trail heads, one mild, the other only a bit more challenging. If I go I will do mild one, need to get back in shape.

Steve, I was just there a few weeks ago. We took the Meadowlark trail out of the parking lot- nice gentle ascent, some shade. That ends at the Plymouth Creek trail. We took the Plymouth Creek trail east which put us back in the parking lot after a steep rocky descent. Was a terrific hike.

Good idea. I think that this hike should follow the same route.
