Hacking the Parts Other Nights Cannot Reach

Hey folks,

March calls, and it's time for what Time Out would call, "West London's Best Hacking Venue," if they listed such things. But they don't, so it's up to me to say...

As usual we're upstairs in the Crown & Anchor & the schedule is:

18:00 - Doors open. Arrive, chat, order food.
19:15 - Kickoff. Choose tonight's hack, form teams.
19:30 - Hack, Hack, Hack!
21:00 - Show & Tell.

What will we hack? And which languages will we hack in? Will the Hacking Blind event on the 26th Feb bring in a crop of esoteric new programming techniques? There's only one way to find out, and it's served with chips. :-)

See you there,

Kris

Well, we succeeded on the night in having a good time and showing that we could, indeed, write haskell. If only a small amount.

Had we had another ten minutes or so............... ...... .. . . we might have come up with something like this.

Lovely people, but the temporary venue ruined it

All being well, we'll be returning to our former glory next month. Personally I quite like the fact that the one time we had a different venue, we wrote path-finding algorithms. :-)

Here's the JavaScript team's implementation of the A* path-finding algorithm:

Gonna have to bail on this one just as I had a surprise visit last night and I'm now bloody knackered. Catch you all at the next one hopefully!

They've stopped brewing their own beer sadly, but it's still pretty decent .

Hmm, walked passed the crown and anchor tonight, doesn't look like it's in any for state for a hack night!

Just to be on the safe side, as Meetup's app doesn't give you the pub's exact postcode, but just lat-long: The Lamb Brewery
      9 Barley Mow Passage
      London
      W4 4PH
      http://m.thelambchisw...

If the address is wrong, please correct me!

I quite like the Lamb too.

Sorry I don't think I'll make it tonight, I'll try and get there if I can.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
