As somebody who just got started in the world of Rock Climbing, I figure maybe there are other who are interested, but don't have friends that are interested in climbing.

So far, I have found that Hangar18, formerly called Beach City Rocks off of Rosecranz in Manhattan beach is a great indoor gym.

Another gym called Rockreation in West Los Angeles also looks quite promising.

As I said I myself am a newcomer, but it never hurts to have climbing partners for belaying and also for pushing you to climb at your true potential. So if this is something you have wanted to do, but have procrastinated about like I have for the past 5 years then sign up.

This is our weekly weekend climb @ Hangar 18. We welcome climbers of all level. Day pass and gear rental is $21 ($16+$5). You can get a monthly membership for $28 (free gear rental for members) if you go through the Adventure People meetup group, that's an incredible steal! I believe they meet every Tuesday nights at 7:30pm.
