End of March Meetup!

We had a request for a meetup on a Friday. At Michelle's request, we're moving our standby location to Biggby Coffee on 28th St SW.

Next meet up should be at Biggby's on 28th street. It'd be less awkward for me.

That biggby would be perfectly do-able for me, that is, if you guys want to change the location. Due to (job-related) issues beyond my control, I'll probably be there at about 6:30 regardless of location.

Still throwing around ideas for future meetups. We'd still like to see if there's anyone around here who'd like to get something organized outside of the GR area - Lansing, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, up north, wherever people might be.

Though we haven't exhausted the possibilities in and around the local area yet, the idea was brought up for at least the second time at our last meetup of organizing an outing to Chicago. We'd probably spend a day touring the museums - Museum of Science and Industry, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Art Institute, or whatever else sounds fun. If we do, in fact, want to do that sometime, I'd suggest we do it on a Sunday. Taking a train would be a good idea - the Pere Marquette goes right from and to GR, but costs about $76 for a round trip. The South Shore Line is only $17, and has much more flexible scheduling, but we'd have to carpool to Michigan City, Indiana - about a 2-hour drive. In either case we'd want to leave around 7:30 AM.

Usually we bring a few board games to play. Other than that, just talk and enjoy some hot beverages.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
