After work paddle to Middleville

It's time to get back on the Thornapple after work!

A very nice stretch of the Thornapple. Suitable for beginners!

We'll meet at the put in at 6:15. The spot run will leave at 6:30. We'll spot the cars 3 miles at the take out in downtown Middleville. We'll get you back to the put in for the group photo and quick safety briefing at 6:50.

Paddles in at 7. This is usually a 90 minute to 2 hour run.

At this time of year bug spray is usually a good call for social hour while we unload boats and spot cars.

Hang out at Champs on the outside patio at the take out for food and refreshments afterwards.

Alternate directions - East on Main Street at Middleville's one light at the Shell Station on M37. Go across the river and up the hill (approx 1/2 mile) Take the first right after the tiny little white church onto to Irving Road. Follow Irving road approx 2 miles. When you cross the river you will see the next left is the put in.

Call me, Mike, with questions. [masked]

PS - Due to the nature of our Michigan weather I keep an eye on the river and the sky. Raging conditions due to a stretch of rain over the previous days or impending thunderstorms will cause cancellation - so check your email if things look iffy. I will give you as much notice as possible.

Will be there depending on the weather. The google map has your pin not even close to the Thornapple River. Is the link I provided the put in location - close to a dirt road, on W Irving Rd the http://bit.ly/1774qIq
