Been there done that! Including white water. Out in all conditions

Do you accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of any guest you bring, while kayaking with the group? yes or no.

Yes I accept responsibility for myself as well as the people I bring. I teach kayaking. I am a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) as well as a Personal Trainer. I accept the hazards that come along with kayaking.

Please write briefly about kayak safety? Name a hazard and how you avoid it.

I wear a class V PFD equiped with a tow line. I carry a throw bag to rescue others. I avoid sweepers and strainers with proper paddle technique. In the event of a capsize I am able to do a combat roll and resolve the situation.
