Please describe your boat(s).

A Wave Sport Diesel 80 for whitewater and a 12.5 foot Dagger Blackwater with skeg for everything else.

How would you describe your kayaking experience? e.g. beginner (not been out yet to a few times), novice(been out more than a dozen times), kayak regularly (been out lots of times),been-there-done- that.(out in all conditions)

Kayak a number of times each year on lakes, oceans, and rivers. Will whitewater kayak II's and III's, but not above.

Do you accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of any guest you bring, while kayaking with the group? yes or no.

Yes

Please write briefly about kayak safety? Name a hazard and how you avoid it.

A sweeper. Look ahead to analyze the current flow and set up early to avoid. If do not understand water flow or how to avoid, pull over immediately and get out to check it out before attemping. Best safety is to stay calm, paddle and body always in position to act, be alert to what is ahead, and kayak with a buddy.

Introduction

Always looking for adventure in all seasons and for others that like to be active as well.
