I thought I'd suggest another meetup at Millenium for this later date to give more members the opportunity to attend. I am on a mission to capture a few great photos of the eagles along with other nature shots. Anyone care to join me?
You should be able to spot the group (just look for all the cameras...lol), but I will also bring a hand-held Meetup sign.
Members are welcome to bring along snacks and refreshments, but I am not scheduling anything official regarding food/drink arrangement.
Let's meet at the recreation beach area (off from Maynard road) in Millennium Park where you rent boats since that area would be easy for everyone to spot. You would park in parking lot C by the DeVos Boathouse (see the link below for the Recreation Beach area).
For those interested there will be Camera setup suggestions for flight photography provided by fellow member, Robert Parnell (who generously offered his time for this).
Lesson Start time: 3:30 - 4:00 pm
Event Start time for main group: 4:00 pm
We will head out from the parking lot area no later than 4:10 pm, so if you can't make it till after that time, you may have to look for the group. The group will decide where we want to start photographing in the park, once the majority are there. With such a large group, it might be helpful to break off into smaller groups and hit different areas of the park to see who can spot any eagles or other fascinating wildlife. Those who care to can exchange cell #'s during the event to connect with each other, if eagles are spotted. :)
