This was my first time shooting stars and meeting up with all of you. thank you to the nice gentleman that gave me handwarmers for my kids :) I wish I could have stayed longer and met some of you. This was great though! I got a couple of decent shots, I would really like to practice this more!

It was great to meet those of you that I met at this event. I have posted pictures that may have a meteor in each. My camera didn't capture them for very long so they are very short lines in each. I really look forward to the next event. This one was a lot of fun.

Do you think your meteors may be star trails? What was your shutter speed?

      May 24, 2014

Maybe, but none of the other stars have that trail? It was the closest to meteors I saw, but I won't say that they are. I just posted to show even if these were meteors, even the visible ones were hard to see. LOL It was still fun.

I loved this meetup...would not have thought about choosing a place and then going alone to catch the meteor shower. This meetup took me out of my usual late night non-activity and into a renewing experience: laying on the ground and taking in the mystery of the heavenly canopy that surrounds us. Extraordinary. Was able to capture just 1 meteor, but saw a couple more. Stayed to see the moon rise.

I am bringing my son and his girl (friend) :) I am SO excited!!!! Is it dark at Fisk Knob Park? I mean away from city lights? I'm from GR, I have no idea.
