Countryside Pub Crawl On Foot
We will meet at Birmingham New Street Station to catch an Alvechurch bound train, from where we will then follow a guided walk for a total of around 8 miles over scenic local rolling countryside visiting 4 or 5 excellent local watering holes (each with a range of traditional ales, and some ciders) and with light meal opportunities along the way.
Hiking boots, waterproofs and day-sacks are recommended for this event. Also bring a torch, as we will complete the final part of the walk along canal towpath near twilight.
This event is a must for any lovers of traditional country pubs. We will have time for a drink or more in every pub, possibly sampling 2-3 half pint glasses.
This was a very popular event when run in October 2012, this time we have a different route and different pubs.
Those who live in North Worcestershire may wish to meet us at Alvechurch, though don't be late as we will not hang around for stragglers at any point during the day. Do not drink and drive to this event.
