MDD: Pub Of The Month (AUG) = Cherry Reds

  • August 6, 2014 · 7:45 PM

Cherry Reds, Birmingham:

Event date changed to August 6th.

......Each month we will have one evening in a good pub or bar, chosen by someone or among those who attended the last time. usually it will happen midweek.

For this month, we are visting Cherry Reds on John Bright Street. This venue opened in Autumn 2013 and stocks 3 handpulled beers (usually including Otter Ale) plus ciders, and doubles as a cafe, so also sells tea and cakes. An unusual addition to the Birmingham pub scene

In recent months we have frequented the Wellington after their rooftop patio/bar refurb, and The Woodman, reopened with a new look and 8 ever-changing ale and cider handpumps, and The Church with a rooftop balcony, great food and an ecelectic new rear bar under Everards brewery management, and the Canalside Cafe surely Birmingham's quaintest venue. Please feel free to bring games, jokes, etc as well as yourself :-)

ps - Please do not RSVP and then no-show.

ps - Future vaguely suggested venues include Bartons Arms, Jekyll & Hyde, Red Lion in Birmingham and a few ideas in nearby towns if we have a guaranteed turnout.

Where to find us

Just to say that I'm not sure where we'll be sitting in Cherry Reds tonight until we get there, but there is usually more room upstairs, so do check upstairs as well as downstairs... and whoever is first there if not me, then please choose an area where a dozen of us can sit.... I will check for texts between 7.45 and 8pm

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
