We decided to start a new meetup group dedicated to rescuing animals, promoting spay/neuter, organize and participate in fun fundraising events, educating and providing the public with low cost spay/neuter and vaccines. We are looking for members who share our passion and love for animals. We are always trying to come up with new and exciting events and welcome new faces and fresh ideas. Luv-A-Pet is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2004. We normally rescue puppies and kittens but will rescue any animal as long as we have a willing and active foster home. We do not have a physical "shelter", but rather a dedicated network of volunteers who foster these animals in their homes. The animals are taken into private homes and given food, shelter, love, medical care, socialization, and more love. We show our foster animals at our non-profit store Rescued Pets 4 U, Petsmart and special events. Before being adopted into their FOREVER homes, all of the pets are altered and microchipped. They are also kept current on vaccinations and deworming, as well as flea and heartworm prevention. If any medical problems arise, the animals are evaluated and treated, as we are a no kill organization. We hope to meetup soon.
