We are people who are dedicated to peace, and who wish to practice compassionate, nonviolent communication as a way of creating understanding and unity.
For the longest time, humans have been taught to judge, criticize, blame and demand, and to think and communicate in terms of what is “right” and “wrong” with people, situations and circumstances. These habitual ways of communicating drive barriers between people that lead to deep-seated anger, violence and even war.
Through the practice of Non-Violent Communication, participants learn how: • to speak clearly and powerfully; • understand how to get more of what they want in life; • forge deep and meaningful relationships; and, • have more peace in their lives.
This group is founded on the work of Marshall Rosenberg, author of Nonviolent Communication - A Language of Life, and founder and director of educational services for the Center for Nonviolent Communication (www.cnvc.org)
