Have you ever seen that look on your weiner's face when he/she meets another weiner? It's like ..."Hey, I know you! Your're just like me! ...Yay!" They meet, they greet, they wag their tail and bark like all dachshunds do. Then sadly soon after they have to part ways. Back to the world of big dogs (and even some small) who just don't understand what it means to be both short and long in size, yet big and tall in personality!
As a dachshund owner, are you just wishing you could meet more people who understand? Are you yearning to meet those who understand that the dachshund is like no other dog, and we have no control over that. We just have to let them be dachshunds, enjoy every minute of it, and give in to the fact that it's THEIR way or the highway!
Now we all have a place for a little Doxie Therapy! Come and meet other dachshunds and their owners once a month at The West Seattle Weiner Dog Round-Up, held in the Small/Shy Dog section of the Off-leash Area at Westcrest Park.
Not sure if your weiner is quite ready for the meet and greet, but still looking to chat with other West Seattle dachshund owners? That's okay too. We all have a lot to share! Think of us as your Doxie Therapists!
We're glad you've joined us and can't wait to hear more about your long dog!
-The West Seattle Weiners
P.S. - Please remember to R.S.V.P. to the next event so we know you're coming!
