How do you describe your position regarding religious faith (Atheist, non-theist, agnostic, deist, etc...?)

I grew out of the need for religion when I was 16. I have gone through a period of rabid atheism as an ardent supporter of Madeline Murray. I think that now I would simply describe myself as a no-theist.

How long have you held your current basic beliefs regarding religion?

Oh, about 50 years....

How did you find out about us?

Through the meet-up group on secular humanism

Would a Saturday or Sunday Meet Up work best for your schedule

Either would be fine.

What question would you ask "God".....?

We are in the process of creating God. Very soon there will be an event called the Singularity when an intelligence will emerge from our computational environment. This intelligence will have the capability of recursive self-improvement. In a very short period it will have all of the capabilities that are attributed to God. I am pretty sure that it will be indifferent to our existence. Therefore it would be pointless to try and phrase a question for it.
