Holiday Dinner at Tavern on Jane

Let's celebrate the upcoming holidays with a festive dinner at Tavern on Jane! This time, there will we no formal group discussion, just fun and friendly mingling with open-ended conversation, and of course, drinks, delicious food, and great company.

Taven on Jane is a group favorite in the West Village that offers classic pub fare as well as a variety of interesting dishes that range from grilled chicken or shrimp pizza to yellowfin tuna tacos to beer battered fish and chips, salads, and a selection of entrees and pastas plus a full bar. You're sure to find something you like. The atmosphere is comfortable and homey and we will have our own cozy room in the back!

A couple of notes:

Note 1: As everyone is aware, there have been a multitude of comments on the website recently ranging in tone from informational to heated. There will be no formal discussion this time, but, as your organizer, I would like to take a couple of minutes to address some of these comments, as they pertain to the group.

Note 2: Any member who RSVP's "Yes" is expected to attend; if you find you cannot make it, please have the courtesy to update your RSVP to "No". Last meeting, several who had RSVP'd "Yes" declined to show up or change their RSVP (which presented itself as a possible topic for future discussion!). Unlike some organizers, I do not maintain a strict disiplinary policy about RSVP's resulting in the exclusion of "guilty" members from the group, but I do ask you to adhere to common RSVP courtesy.

Note 3: We are meeting a few minutes earlier than usual, at 6:15 p.m. Please arrive promply so we can get our orders in and get served at a reasonable time.

Looking forward to a great time!!

Can't make it. Sorry for the late notice but combination of migraine and bad weather will rule me out.

I had a migraine, too, but went and migrained at the table. Migraines are a curse.

I need a topic - to stray from and annoy Leslie.

My boss is in town and he and I will be meeting after the dinner. This is my first time attending. What time do the dinners usually conclude? I told him that we could meet around 8:15. Does that time make sense? Please let me know. Thanks.
