The purpose of this group is twofold. First and foremost it is meant as a vehicle through which fellow film enthusiasts in the Los Angeles area can get together and enjoy wonderful movies. Second, it is a means through which to meet others with shared interests, outlooks and sensibilities. This group's focus is on the following kind of films: independent, "quality" big studio films, foreign, classic, documentary, and animation. If you are interested in big Hollywood blockbusters, this isn’t the group for you. We view the majority of our films on the Westside (west of the LACMA (Fairfax)), but do occasionally make it to the Arclight and a few other theatres in the Hollywood area.

We have been up and running now for nearly two years. The formation of this group was a slow process, but well worth the wait. I have met so many wonderful fellow cinefiles through this group and look forward to making new friends in this New Year. Thank you all for making this experience so special.
