Katrina was a super speaker, the Environmental Center at Lyonia Preserve is a great facility with a focus on educating the young. Creating a whole new generation to carry the cause!
Take a walk through the preserve on a quiet day you will not be disappointed!
Did you guys know a flush up uses 1.1 gals and a flush down uses 1.6gals, on those fancy toilets?

Katrina gave us a nice overview of the Environmental Center & its energy efficient design; she also talked about Jay watch & their Scrub Jay population & how they work to educate hundreds of school children in Volusia County. Great work! Keep it up!

Katrina Locke is very knowledgeable about the Lyonia Preserve. Her talk was informative and I am not the only person who will visit the preserve soon.

Lyonia is the place where we have our own little colony of Scrub Jays. They are birds not found outside Florida, with very specific habitat needs. At the Lyonia preserve they are totally unafraid of us humans and will visit with you on your walk through. Do follow up with a short walk there, hint.... wear a hat!
