Field Trip: Spring Migratory Birds at Gemini Springs Park

We will begin our field trip at the South end of Gemini Springs Park (at Lake Monroe Park), DeBary, FL. Therefore, it is best that we meet in the parking lot of Lake Monroe Park, which is on the East side of US 1792, immediately before the St Johns River Bridge on the Volusia County side. Please arrive at Lake Monroe Park no later than 8:30am.

Gemini Springs offers a mix of most inland habitats. Our intention is to find lots of warblers & other migrating birds, both those arriving from the south, on their way north for the summer, as well as many interesting resident birds.

We will be birding until we have covered two specific areas of interest:  1) A Wooded Area 2) A Marsh Area

This is not expected to be an all day event. If necessary, participants can leave early. Bring lunch, drinks, bug spray, binoculars & a camera. This place is beautiful!!! This will be an easy walking event. Here is a link for the park:
