Birding Walk

A Birding walk is held the fourth Wednesday of each month with the next one being on Jan. 23. Come to the Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge in DeLeon Springs, go to the parking lot closest to the impoundment ponds at the end of Mud Lake Road. Arrive by 8 AM.

Expert Birder Lynn Bowen and myself will be there to take you on a walk to identify and see what birds are on the refuge. Bring binoculars if you have them or a camera. We get both photographers and birders (from amateur to expert) on our hikes. If you don't have a pair of binoculars or forget yours, stop at the Visitor Center and check out one of our loaner binoculars.

For more information, call[masked] or email [masked].

Lovely morning for a walk Appreciated our guides input all helps to make the walk worth while. Birds were tending to stay on the ground or close to to keep warm no doubt.
