A home for all acoustic players, singers, and people who like to play unplugged in general. While all levels are welcome, we are an Intermediate to Advanced group.
We currently have two main alternating Meetups:
- One is a "Chord jam" where we all play and sing the same song at once, and the experts get a chance to solo.
- The other is a "Performance Night" where we each take turns playing a song solo or with a friend. These are usually blues, rags, bluegrass, country or also folk/modern, depending.
While the name says "guitar", this group is acoustic in general. There's always room for bass, mandolin, harmonica, tambourine/shakers, keyboards, and so on. Also singers are always welcomed even if you don't play an instrument!

7:30pm - 8:00pm : Beginner's Introduction to Jamming Lesson taught by Peter Tascio, staff member of Groove ($10 Separate fee for the lesson.) Learn the fundamentals of jamming with a group! Then take what you learned and apply it to a regular jam at 8pm! Emphasis tonight will be on "Strum Patterns" - how to choose a decent pattern to use for any song. Read more
