Once there was a time when acoustic guitarists would wander around Westchester looking for musicians to play with-- trading licks at Guitar Center, braving open mikes and even folk circles, searching in vain for a place to gather as a group. Then came the clarion call from Chris Troise, the WAMG "organizer", and the rest may not always be history, but at least it was occasionally memorable.
As most of us know, Chris is moving to Germany in June, so here's your chance to say good-bye.
We will meet at the MADCafe in Pelham, starting at 7pm. The night will be ---ummm-- loosely organized. There may be group songs, some open miking, and food and drink will be available until at least 8pm (your dime, not WAMG's). Since it's a Thursday, it probably won't go later than 9:30-10:00pm.
Bring a guitar, another musical instrument or just come to just chat and listen. It may be a while before you get to see Chris again (unless youa re looking for a place to crash in Europe).
