Thank you in advance for answering these questions, it makes it easier to plan cool meetups that the most people will enjoy! Hopefully eventually there will be "something for everyone"! There are no wrong answers. (This is not a question)

used to have a meetup in college - but that was a loong time ago

Which style of playing do you prefer (eg finger style, chord jams, classical)

Strumming chords mostly, can play a little finger picking

Which part of Westchester do you prefer to meet in? (Larchmont, Rye, White Plains, Harrison, etc)

doesn't really make a difference

When are the best times for you to Meetup? (any weeknight, Fridays only, weekends, etc)

almost anytime - unless you meet up during the day - that's when I play golf

Do you know other guitar players who would be interested in this group? (eg, "Yes, I play with 3 others currently", "None", etc)

none

Introduction

Ed Keating, playing since college - self taught , although I did take a couple of private lessions about 20 years ago. Can't read music, so everything I know is by memorization of chords -but it works for me. Retiring soon, so I want to learn more

What Ed K. is saying about this Meetup Group

recommendation for chords/lyrics that I found. http://bettylou.zzruss.com updated almost daily, ecclectic mix of songs but covers most genres. added benefit - print outs are large print (for us old guys) chords generally are OK. search the s ite - lists #1 hits in USA & UK by year and week. Beatle compilation- pdf format - downloadable http://www.sewanee.edu/physics/PHYSICS120/beatles_complete.pdf perhaps a college student that posted this compilaton
