Thank you in advance for answering these questions, it makes it easier to plan cool meetups that the most people will enjoy! Hopefully eventually there will be "something for everyone"! There are no wrong answers. (This is not a question)

Thank you for creating this group.

Which style of playing do you prefer (eg finger style, chord jams, classical)

Chord jams.

Which part of Westchester do you prefer to meet in? (Larchmont, Rye, White Plains, Harrison, etc)

Well, it's all a drive from Long Island. Keep it to less than 90 minutes on the way up and I'm good (trip back late evening will be faster).

When are the best times for you to Meetup? (any weeknight, Fridays only, weekends, etc)

I am pretty flexible in terms of meeting days and times.

Do you know other guitar players who would be interested in this group? (eg, "Yes, I play with 3 others currently", "None", etc)

No.

Introduction

Bailed out on the 55 hour/week stress-filled career in 2010. Time to focus more on the creative and less on the analytical. Acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass. Beatles, Eagles, CS&N, Dan Fogelberg, America, plus current country stuff.

What John S. is saying about this Meetup Group

Performance night on June 21 was my first solo performance. Glad I did it, despite pre-song jitters. And, as they say, if I can do it, anyone can. So those of you who've been hesitant about taking the next step in your playing, think about making the next Performance Night whenever it comes up again in the rotation (we did have open slots as it turned out). Or play along with the group at one of the regular monthly meetups (which also affords the opportunity toward the end of the evening for performing if so inclined). Can't do better than the Westchester Group for a supportive, low-stress situation. Thanks to the others that night for their encouraging comments and support.
